Uju Momah is a demonstrated leader and change-maker. Prior to medical school, she worked as a healthcare consultant for executives and physicians of a national hospital system to implement a converged electronic medical record. Working across clinical, revenue cycle, and technology teams, she developed strategies and data models targeted towards performance improvement. Such experience helped her understand the challenges of creating technology systems aligned with provider workflow and needs. Her leadership and service continue into medical school, where she has served as the president of the student body. As a physician, she hopes to use her leadership skills and experiential insights to serve as a valuable intermediary between the worlds of medicine and systems operations to find innovative solutions to issues of clinical informatics.
