Description

Abstract: Documentation of clinical processes, especially in the perioperative are, is a base requirement for quality of service but often distracts medical staff from the clinical core process. We built a system prototype allowing documentation of process times and metrics with single click user interaction, which is still capable of handling deviations from a pre-determined workflow.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: Attendees should gain an understanding on how to see clinical documentation as documentation of a formalized process. A method for easy and accurate documentation, which can be used to support team time-out and clinical documentation is presented and the underlying methodology could be used in clinical routine in hospitals.
