Description

Abstract: With mobile health gaining traction in clinical settings, guidelines are needed to help clinicians identify apps that are user-friendly and evidence-informed. Likewise, software developers, particularly in the federal system, must decide when to allocate funding to new development and avoid duplicating already existing apps. The App Rating Inventory (ARI), developed by a Defense Health Agency (DHA) team, provides objective evaluations of health apps to assist clinical and development decisions.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: Learn about the evolving impact of mobile technologies on patient care.
Understand the gap between the growth in mobile health and the lack of guidelines for assessing quality apps.
Learn about a protocol that systematically funnels an initial apps’ search to meet targeted criteria.
