Abstract: Leveraging Technology and Standardization of Patient Flow Process in a Perioperative Clinic at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center: Measuring the Value Using Time Driven Activity Based Costing (TDABC) - Applying a technological solution to assist in triaging/decision support for patient care can lead to time savings, development of best practices, and enhance efficiency of care delivery. The value of technological solutions can be measured by applying the principles of TDABC and process care mapping.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: 1. Better understand and leverage the capabilities of the electronic health record (EHR), allowing providers to work more efficiently, and at the top of their license. 2. Understand the application of time driven activity based costing (TDABC) in the clinical healthcare setting in terms of mapping patient care processes and measuring the value of implementing technological solutions and standardizing process flow.
