Description
Abstract: I will share the story and key learnings from the innovative efforts as one of the first health systems to capture sexual orientation and gender identity in the EHR, and how success was attained through a combination of leadership, cultural, education, and technical factors.
Will share some of the problems we encountered along the way, and our most recent implementation of ability to capture non-binary legal sex.
This data will allow us to identify disparities and understand our LGBT population to better support their healthcare needs.
