Abstract: This ignite-style talk will describe the process of moving from an analog to a digital paging solution. It will detail the barriers and solutions to changing the communication strategy in order to meet the modern security and communication needs of a large academic medical center. Listeners will be able to learn from the successes and challenges our institution faced while implementing this change.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: After attending this talk listeners will be able to identify the security and communication dilemmas of continuing with an analog paging system along with potential benefits of transitioning to a digital system. We will go through the barriers our institution faced in implementing a digital paging system. The solutions we devised at our institution could be used as a framework for others as they explore potentially moving towards a digital paging solution.
