Pediatric Infectious Diseases & Clinical Informatics Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital
Josh is currently a combined fellow in pediatric infectious diseases and clinical informatics at Boston Children’s Hospital. As part of his informatics training, he’s also pursuing a Master of Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School. He is board-certified in General Pediatrics and completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Josh's primary research interests focus on combining antimicrobial stewardship and technology. Specifically, he seeks to utilize large databases to examine trends in antimicrobial use and misuse with the goal of identifying areas for stewardship, then develop novel solutions to help clinicians—from physicians at tertiary pediatric hospitals to community health workers in developing countries—optimize their use of antimicrobials. Josh also has interests in patient safety, health care quality improvement, and working to eliminate domestic and international health disparities.
