Description

Abstract: Health plans use clinical data for a variety of needs, including quality measure calculation, risk adjustment, and value-based reimbursements. Clinical data is traditionally obtained via manual chart review, but the process is labor intensive and not scalable. Electronic data feeds facilitate more effective use of clinical data, resulting in better population-health management. This project describes the development of a pipeline for clinical data intake and its use in quality measures and value-based payments.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: After this session, the attendee will be able to describe a pipeline to ingest data from multiple EHRs and store in common tables. The attendee will be able to identify tools and skills needed to undertake this work.
