Description

Abstract: Gathering and processing data for patient care becomes more challenging and time consuming as the amount of data within the electronic health record continues to grow. Here we present an automated method which categorizes patients by their clinical acuity and stability using trends in their laboratory data. With this unique categorization method, we hope to reduce time spent by clinicians in collecting, processing and utilization data during clinical prioritization.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: After reviewing this work, the attendee should gain insight on a novel automated method to represent real-time patient data in order to help clinicians identify high priority patients.
