Description

Abstract: Information overload is sinking clinicians in data. Staying afloat requires clinician guided design of smarter tools that make clinical practice enjoyable.. We engaged internal medicine physicians in user-centered design to evaluate a realistic problem list, an optimized problem list, and a dynamic problem dashboard. Clinician preference surrounding the dashboard display will be explored. The contextual design process will also be discussed.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: Attendees will learn how to design dynamic dashboards using contextual design principals. They will also learn the difference between personalization and customization, and will be introduced to the User Experience Questionnaire.
