Description

Abstract: I'll describe UC Davis Health's Practice Experience Program, which is a multifaceted approach to helping our physicians use our EHR in the most efficient way possible through: group learning sessions, 1:1 personalized training, and system re-build. Our program has touched every clinic and most ambulatory physicians in our system, and is piloting programs for inpatient physicians. Feedback has been very positive and has aloowed us to expand the team to be able to visit clinics more frequently.
We've had significant changes in self rated satisfaction with physicans' own ability, system design, and time spend in system after hours (pajama time.) We've also showed sustained reductions in objectively measured pajama time for those who struggled the most.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: 1. How to organize a program to improve practice experience through iindividualized, data-driven training.
2. How to design governance and develop an agile process to do rapid specialty- specific system build.
3. How to measure process and outcomes for such a program.
